EC 1500 was installed at the HVAC outlets of the studio of Master Xiao Congzhen, leader of the preparatory group of the China Academy of Building Research.

After installation of EC 1500, the optimal 170,000 ions/cm3 achieved, increased from 2,000 ions/cm3, which is far exceed the local standards in Zhejiang Province. Number of bacteria decreased from 1,200 CFU/m³ to less than 200 CFU/m³, a decrease of 83%. Bipolar Ionizer can maintain good level of TVOC after renovation, it actively decomposes formaldehyde, VOCs, bacteria and other pollutants in the air, and converts them into harmless CO₂ and H₂O through oxidative decomposition reaction, without secondary pollution residue. Formaldehyde decreased from 0.15mg/m³ (3 times exceeding the standard) before installation to less than 0.03mg/m³ (within the national standard), a decrease of 80%. TVOC decreased from 1.2 mg/m³ before installation to less than 0.3 mg/m³, a decrease of 75%
