According to the results of “Xian Ecology and Environment Bureau”,  Xian have moderate air pollution for 48 hours in the period of January 12 to 13, 2024, and with a risk of severe pollution.  In the period of November 26 to December 21, 2016, Xian suffered from air pollution for 27 days. From December 30, 2018 to January 14, 2019, Xian suffered from heavy air pollution for 16 days.  PM2.5 is the primary pollutant of air pollution in Xian.
